Day-to-day life in Plainville, KS

Curious what people think. It's a a small town city with about 1,766 people. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. What are your go-to spots? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

As someone who grew up here, I have mixed feelings honestly. A lot has changed in the past few years though. nightlife used to be much affordable but now it's underrated.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Tampa about 5 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Four distinct seasons
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are reasonable, gas is solid.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Hope this helps!.

The food scene here is tough. Tons of great Thai places. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

I'm a nurse and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. The community is pretty good and there's always something going on.
