Hi all, I'm a teacher here and Median household income is $42,667, which feels on the lower side for the area. Poverty rate is 7.4%, which is pretty low. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Am I overthinking this? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want weather, then yeah this place is great. But if food scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Greenfield. It's surprisingly good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in consulting. If you're in finance you might struggle.
People: Generally improving. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.
