Alright, I'm a 23-year-old HR manager and Household incomes average around $96,347 in Pleasant Grove. Homes are going for about $454,300 on average. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Does this match your experience? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

As someone who grew up here, I genuinely enjoy living here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. outdoor recreation used to be much wild but now it's challenging.

Used to live on the The Heights side, now on the Uptown side. Completely different vibe. I genuinely enjoy living here.

I've lived in Old Town for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- The outdoor recreation scene is hit or miss
The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Urban sprawl is real
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for retirees. Feel free to reach out with questions..

I've been living here for 6 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The cultural scene is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want healthcare, then yeah this place is great. But if school system matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Bought a house here in 2020 and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

Came here for work and stayed because it exceeded my expectations. The cultural scene is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in West for 2 years. Moved from LA for my partner's job. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is surprisingly good. We bought in 2018 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.
**Employment:**
hospitality is strong here. manufacturing is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are established for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
it's exactly what I was looking for. The outdoor scene is hit or miss - we have rivers within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. West schools are better than expected. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Limited public transit options. Winters are long and cold. And community vibe can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 9/10. It's not for everyone but it works for us.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
