Quick question about Pleasant Hill

Been meaning to ask this. I grew up here but left for a while. Rent is about $2,511/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 4.3%, which is pretty low. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Thanks in advance! There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it's exactly what I was looking for. Compared to Chicago it's challenging.

Used to live on the Highland side, now on the Fairview side. Completely different vibe. it's exactly what I was looking for.
