Thinking about relocating to Pleasant Hill from Dallas

Curious what people think. I work in government and Poverty rate is 4.3%, which is pretty low. With a population of 34,335, Pleasant Hill is a smaller city. Average temperature is around 62--F, so the weather is moderate. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

I've been living here for 10 years and I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The weather is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..
