Grocery stores in Pleasant Ridge -recommendations?
I'm a remote worker and Rent is about $1,795/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Nashville about 10 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries
Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Limited shopping options
Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are stable, gas is surprisingly good.
Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. No regrets on my end..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are surprisingly good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
