Household incomes average around $186,206 in Pleasanton. The suburbs are where most families end up. Should I be concerned? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Used to live on the Uptown side, now on the East side. Completely different vibe. it's been a really good experience overall.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Austin about 11 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and a job opportunity.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good internet infrastructure
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Rising rent and home prices
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are competitive, gas is underrated.
Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. No regrets on my end..
