Best kept secrets of Pleasure Point, CA

First post here. The median home value here is around $1,230,200, which is pretty steep. Poverty rate is 6.6%, which is pretty low. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from Charlotte about 13 years ago. The main reasons were weather and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are established, gas is improving.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
