Plymouth housing prices -when will it stop?

Hey everyone, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Crime rate is something to consider -Plymouth sits at 326.9 per 100K. The median home value here is around $426,000, which is pretty steep. Rent is about $1,701/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $426,000 on average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Pros:
- Lots of new development
- Strong sense of community
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons:
- Sprawl everywhere
- Limited dining options
- Far from major airports
- Limited cultural events
- Homelessness issues downtown
Is this normal for Plymouth? Any help is appreciated. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.
