Best neighborhoods in Poinciana

My family moved here when I was a kid. The median home value here is around $266,900, which seems about average. It's a a smaller city city with about 71,665 people. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. What would you do?

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a software engineer, 49, moved here 6 years ago from Minneapolis. I've lived in Riverside and Pine Hills, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Low crime in most neighborhoods
2. Decent public transit for the size
3. Four distinct seasons
4. The people are generally hit or miss - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Road conditions need improvement
2. Limited entertainment options
3. The pet-friendliness situation is developing and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Riverside: Great for remote workers. improving vibes, walkable.
- Pine Hills: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Minneapolis, everything felt tough. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are reasonable. Gas is manageable. You can live comfortably on $50K-$120K here.

**Final verdict:**
No regrets on my end.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Public transit is decent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. the quality of life is solid.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.

I've been here 12 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into running, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Cedar Grove side vs the Meadowbrook side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want school system, then yeah this place is great. But if housing market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I have mixed feelings honestly. Compared to Pittsburgh it's surprisingly good.
