Hey everyone, I'm originally from Orlando and Average temperature is around 73--F, so it's warm year-round. Household incomes average around $63,042 in Poinciana. The median home value here is around $266,900, which seems about average. The unemployment rate is 2.9%, which is pretty low. The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. What are your go-to spots? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value school system, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely improving and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (South) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Houston, be prepared for the culture shock. safety is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
