Job market in Poinciana for tech?

I'm a teacher here and It's a a smaller city city with about 71,665 people. The unemployment rate is 2.9%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $266,900 on average. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Is this normal for Poinciana? Cheers. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Came here for school and stayed because it's not perfect but it works for me. The job market is honestly better than expected and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value school system, you'll love it. The outdoor recreation is genuinely challenging and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (Riverside) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Dallas, be prepared for the culture shock. cost of living is completely different here. And Dating scene is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've lived in Westside for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The food scene scene is solid

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Road conditions need improvement

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for retirees. Good luck with whatever you decide..

I've lived in Uptown for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Active local events and festivals
- The cost of living scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Limited entertainment options
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for families. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've been living here for 6 years and I'd say it's improved dramatically in recent years. The safety is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Public transit is average here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's been a really good experience overall.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Boston about 3 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Lots of new development happening
- Active local events and festivals
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are established, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Meadowbrook. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in construction. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Italian.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
