Rent vs buy in Point Pleasant -what makes sense?

Alright, I've been here for 16 years and Rent is about $1,969/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Anyone in a similar situation? Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

We moved here with our family and I love the pace of life here. Schools in Uptown area are average. Kids love it here.

Used to live on the The Heights side, now on the Pine Hills side. Completely different vibe. it's not perfect but it works for me.
