Commute times in Pompano Beach -how bad?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a teacher here and Household incomes average around $63,832 in Pompano Beach. Poverty rate is 11.5%, which is around average. Homes are going for about $321,900 on average. The median home value here is around $321,900, which seems about average. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. Am I overthinking this? The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Used to live on the Westside side, now on the Highland side. Completely different vibe. I genuinely enjoy living here.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Salt Lake City it's excellent.

I work in real estate here and it's been a really good experience overall. The job market for my field is tough. Happy to answer more specific questions..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Internet is tough in most areas.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

We moved here with our family and it was the best decision I ever made. Schools in North area are excellent. Kids love it here.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Riverside for 7 years. Moved from Tampa for a job opportunity. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is better than expected. We bought in 2018 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
legal is strong here. education is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are reasonable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I love the pace of life here. The outdoor scene is improving - we have beaches within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Riverside schools are underrated. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Can feel isolated. Limited shopping options. And dating scene can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For singles, I'd say this is a 9/10. Feel free to reach out with questions.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

My experience has been mostly positive. it was the best decision I ever made. The only thing I'd watch out for is pet-friendliness. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.

I've been here 2 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from Charlotte about 10 years ago. The main reasons were family and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Four distinct seasons
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Property taxes are high

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are wild, gas is decent.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Bought a house here in 2017 and the quality of life is solid. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

Public transit is improving here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I'm still on the fence after all this time.
