Pompano Beach housing prices -when will it stop?

OK so You can expect to pay around $1,636 for rent here. The unemployment rate is 5.2%, which is about average. Crime rate is something to consider -Pompano Beach sits at 792.7 per 100K. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Am I overthinking this? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

I've lived in South for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good internet infrastructure
- The housing market scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Dating scene is rough
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for retirees. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely underrated and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. My neighborhood (Lakewood) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Boston, be prepared for the culture shock. housing market is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
