So, I'm retired and Rent is about $1,822/month for a decent place. The suburbs are where most families end up. Anyone in a similar situation? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is weather. I have mixed feelings honestly. Worth doing your research before committing.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in The Heights. It's solid for what you get.
Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in construction. If you're in tech you might struggle.
People: Generally underrated. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Korean.
