Hi all, My family moved here when I was a kid. You can expect to pay around $2,345 for rent here. It's a a small town city with about 2,524 people. Poverty rate is 0.5%, which is pretty low. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is food scene. Other than that, Hope this helps!.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.
I've been here 3 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is improving.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Springfield side vs the Highland side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

We moved here with our family and I have mixed feelings honestly. Schools in Old Town area are hit or miss. Kids love it here.
