Best restaurants in Pontoon Beach?
Curious what people think. Military spouse here. The city has invested a lot in new development. Am I wrong here?

I've lived in Lakewood for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good schools in most areas
- The job market scene is surprisingly good
The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Property taxes are high
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for families. Feel free to reach out with questions..

I've been living here for 6 years and I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The pet-friendliness is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.
