Rent in Pontoon Beach getting crazy

Alright, I'm a teacher here and You can expect to pay around $1,117 for rent here. The unemployment rate is 5.1%, which is about average. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Has anyone dealt with this? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I've lived in Sunset for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Affordable housing options
- The school system scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Summers can be brutally hot

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. Good luck with whatever you decide..
