Best areas to explore in Pooler?

Longtime lurker here, My family moved here when I was a kid. Poverty rate is 5.2%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $91,497 in Pooler. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Anyone in a similar situation? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 3 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Lakewood side vs the Old Town side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Atlanta about 5 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good healthcare facilities

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are pricey, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
