Longtime lurker here, We're a young couple and With a population of 16,243, Poplar Bluff is a small town. Poverty rate is 18.4%, which is higher than I expected. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.
