Most overrated things about Poplar Bluff

Anyone else feel this way? With a population of 16,243, Poplar Bluff is a small town. The unemployment rate is 3.4%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $42,035, which feels on the lower side for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Poplar Bluff sits at 663.0 per 100K. Rent is about $760/month for a decent place. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Pros:
- Close to nature
- Walkable downtown
- Plenty of shopping options
- Active local events

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Limited nightlife
- Chain restaurants dominate
