Alright, I relocated for work and With a population of 12,556, Poquoson is a small town. Poverty rate is 4.6%, which is pretty low. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. What are your go-to spots?

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it was the best decision I ever made. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

My experience has been mostly positive. I genuinely enjoy living here. The only thing I'd watch out for is nightlife. Other than that, No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.
I've been here 3 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is surprisingly good.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The East side vs the West side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Hope this helps!.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it exceeded my expectations. Compared to LA it's decent.

The food scene here is improving. Tons of great Mexican places. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.
