Best areas to explore in Port Jefferson Station?
OK so I work in food service and Rent is about $2,309/month for a decent place. It's a a small town city with about 7,605 people. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Any help is appreciated. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.
