Random thought, Military spouse here. Crime rate is something to consider -Port Lavaca sits at 684.7 per 100K. It's a a small town city with about 11,410 people. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. What do you all think? TIA! The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up.
