What I wish I knew before living in Port Orange

OK so I'm originally from Phoenix and Rent is about $1,448/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 2.6%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $287,900 on average. Poverty rate is 6.5%, which is pretty low. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Would love some local perspective. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit is improving here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's exactly what I was looking for.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it was the best decision I ever made. Internet is underrated in most areas.
