Relocating to Port Salerno, FL -pros and cons?

Born and raised here. You can expect to pay around $1,441 for rent here. The unemployment rate is 3.2%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $329,000, which seems about average. Rent is about $1,441/month for a decent place. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Any advice would be great. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

The food scene here is solid. Tons of great Vietnamese places. I have mixed feelings honestly.

I've lived in East for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good internet infrastructure
- The safety scene is tough

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. No regrets on my end..
