Random thought, Crime rate is something to consider -Port St. John sits at 602.6 per 100K. Median household income is $84,214, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Any advice would be great. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Dallas about 15 years ago. The main reasons were work and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Strong job market in several industries
- Close to major attractions
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Urban sprawl is real
Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are manageable, gas is tough.
Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are surprisingly good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

As someone who grew up here, I genuinely enjoy living here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. weather used to be much affordable but now it's pretty good.
