First post here. We're a young couple and With a population of 24,617, Port St. John is a small town. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Dallas about 3 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Active local events and festivals
- Affordable housing options
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Road conditions need improvement
Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are stable, gas is excellent.
Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Good luck with whatever you decide..
