Best hidden gems in Port St. Lucie

Longtime lurker here, I've been here for 1 years and Rent is about $1,781/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $327,700 on average. The median home value here is around $327,700, which seems about average. Average temperature is around 76°F, so it's warm year-round. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Let me know your thoughts. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's been a really good experience overall. No regrets on my end..

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- The community vibe scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Can feel isolated
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for young professionals. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Compared to Minneapolis it's excellent.

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. school system used to be much manageable but now it's decent.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Austin about 13 years ago. The main reasons were weather and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are pricey, gas is improving.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Cedar Grove for 8 years. Moved from Salt Lake City for a fresh start. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is tough. We bought in 2017 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. Older homes are where the value is.

**Employment:**
legal is strong here. legal is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are affordable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The outdoor scene is hit or miss - we have state parks within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Cedar Grove schools are improving. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Winters are long and cold. Chain restaurants dominate. And outdoor recreation can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 6/10. Definitely worth checking out.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I've lived in North for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Baltimore, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Active local events and festivals
- The healthcare scene is decent

The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Limited shopping options

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for retirees. Good luck with whatever you decide..
