Weekend activities in Port Townsend?

Longtime lurker here, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. Rent is about $1,151/month for a decent place. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Am I wrong here?

As someone who grew up here, I love the pace of life here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. walkability used to be much reasonable but now it's surprisingly good.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 13 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Lakewood side vs the Downtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..
