Is Port Washington getting better or worse?

Poverty rate is 4.6%, which is pretty low. It's a a small town city with about 12,569 people. You can expect to pay around $1,021 for rent here. Rent is about $1,021/month for a decent place. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Worth the trade-offs? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to.

I'm a chef and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. The community is better than expected and there's always something going on.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value public transit, you'll love it. The nightlife is genuinely hit or miss and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. My neighborhood (Westside) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from New York, be prepared for the culture shock. cost of living is completely different here. And Winters are long and cold.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've been living here for 15 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The walkability is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Came here for quality of life and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The dating scene is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
