Unpopular opinion about Porter
Curious what people think. I work in energy and Poverty rate is 1.5%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $1,161/month for a decent place. Crime rate is something to consider -Porter sits at 165.9 per 100K. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.
Pros:
- Good job market
- Low taxes
- Good healthcare facilities
Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Cold winters
- Limited nightlife
- Not enough green space
