Weekend activities in Porterville?

Hey folks, Born and raised here. The unemployment rate is 5.6%, which is about average. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Is this normal for Porterville? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

As someone who grew up here, it was the best decision I ever made. A lot has changed in the past few years though. walkability used to be much established but now it's underrated.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it was the best decision I ever made. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
