Is Potomac Heights walkable?

Hey folks, Just moved here 1 months ago and Homes are going for about $87,900 on average. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Thanks in advance! Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Came here for quality of life and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The healthcare is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a social worker who relocated here from LA about 2 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Nice parks and green spaces

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited high-paying job options

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are wild, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. No regrets on my end..
