Pros and cons of Potomac after 15 years
Hey everyone, The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

The food scene here is surprisingly good. Tons of great craft beer places. it's not perfect but it works for me.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are tough, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Greenfield. It's hit or miss for what you get.
Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in government. If you're in retail you might struggle.
People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Asian.
Definitely worth checking out..
