Hey folks, It's a a small town city with about 23,392 people. With a population of 23,392, Pottstown is a small town. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Used to live on the The Heights side, now on the Cedar Grove side. Completely different vibe. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a electrician who relocated here from Baltimore about 4 years ago. The main reasons were school and retirement.
Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Active local events and festivals
- Diverse dining options
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are growing, gas is challenging.
Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Public transit is hit or miss here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it exceeded my expectations.
