Hey, Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Has anyone dealt with this? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

I've been living here for 15 years and I'd say it's been a really good experience overall. The walkability is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Came here for quality of life and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The traffic is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Used to live on the North side, now on the Midtown side. Completely different vibe. I genuinely enjoy living here.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is job market. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Worth doing your research before committing.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Cedar Grove for 6 years. Moved from Boston for a fresh start. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is improving. We bought in 2020 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. The market is competitive but not impossible.
**Employment:**
manufacturing is strong here. government is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are wild for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
the quality of life is solid. The outdoor scene is hit or miss - we have ski resorts within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Cedar Grove schools are surprisingly good. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Rising rent and home prices. Limited high-paying job options. And school system can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 5/10. No regrets on my end.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I've lived in The Heights for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Affordable housing options
- The cultural scene scene is solid
The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for singles. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cultural scene, then yeah this place is great. But if dating scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
