Powdersville in the winter -how bad?

Hello, You can expect to pay around $1,231 for rent here. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

The food scene here is pretty good. Tons of great Italian places. I genuinely enjoy living here.

As someone who grew up here, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cost of living used to be much developing but now it's pretty good.

Bought a house here in 2017 and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Property values have gone about the same since then.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is outdoor recreation. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. the quality of life is solid. Internet is decent in most areas.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in East. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in consulting. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

Hope this helps!.
