Best neighborhoods in Powers Lake

Alright, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Homes are going for about $286,400 on average. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. Am I overthinking this? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a project manager, 49, moved here 5 years ago from San Francisco. I've lived in Riverside and Sunset, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Great outdoor activities nearby
2. Close to major attractions
3. Good airport with direct flights
4. The people are generally pretty good - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Can feel isolated
2. Dating scene is rough
3. The walkability situation is manageable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Riverside: Great for retirees. improving vibes, walkable.
- Sunset: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from San Francisco, everything felt better than expected. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are stable. Gas is stable. You can live comfortably on $70K-$100K here.

**Final verdict:**
Definitely worth checking out.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

I've lived in North for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good healthcare facilities
- The public transit scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for retirees. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I work in government here and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The job market for my field is excellent. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
