Affordable areas near Prattville?

Curious what people think. I'm originally from Sacramento and Average temperature is around 66--F, so the weather is moderate. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Has anyone dealt with this? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are pricey. You get used to it after the first year.
