Anyone else love living in Prescott?

Been meaning to ask this. Just moved here 5 months ago and You can expect to pay around $1,304 for rent here. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. What do you all think? Thanks for reading.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a nurse who relocated here from Boston about 6 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Strong sense of community
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Property taxes are high

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are reasonable, gas is excellent.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Definitely worth checking out..

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a data analyst, 33, moved here 7 years ago from Pittsburgh. I've lived in Fairview and Midtown, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Friendly community, easy to meet people
2. Nice parks and green spaces
3. Diverse dining options
4. The people are generally average - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Nightlife is limited
2. Chain restaurants dominate
3. The pet-friendliness situation is manageable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Fairview: Great for singles. improving vibes, walkable.
- Midtown: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Pittsburgh, everything felt excellent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are competitive. Gas is manageable. You can live comfortably on $50K-$100K here.

**Final verdict:**
No regrets on my end.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.
