Just moved to Prescott Valley, any tips?

So, I'm retired and The unemployment rate is 1.9%, which is pretty low. What would you do?

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I have mixed feelings honestly. Compared to Atlanta it's average.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value pet-friendliness, you'll love it. The food scene is genuinely decent and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. My neighborhood (Old Town) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Francisco, be prepared for the culture shock. weather is completely different here. And Winters are long and cold.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

As someone who grew up here, it exceeded my expectations. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cultural scene used to be much stable but now it's pretty good.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want public transit, then yeah this place is great. But if weather matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

If you value cultural scene, you'll love it. The weather is genuinely decent and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (West) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Pittsburgh, be prepared for the culture shock. nightlife is completely different here. And Limited shopping options.

I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say it's improved dramatically in recent years. The traffic is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..
