What Priceville does better than anywhere else

So, Crime rate is something to consider -Priceville sits at 198.6 per 100K. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Worth the trade-offs?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Denver about 1 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are pricey, gas is excellent.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. No regrets on my end..

I'm a HR manager and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. The community is tough and there's always something going on.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a writer, 54, moved here 11 years ago from San Diego. I've lived in Greenfield and Oak Park, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Friendly community, easy to meet people
2. Low crime in most neighborhoods
3. Good healthcare facilities
4. The people are generally average - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Limited shopping options
2. Far from beaches/mountains
3. The healthcare situation is reasonable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Greenfield: Great for families. surprisingly good vibes, walkable.
- Oak Park: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from San Diego, everything felt average. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are competitive. Gas is competitive. You can live comfortably on $100K-$120K here.

**Final verdict:**
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a chef, 50, moved here 9 years ago from San Francisco. I've lived in South and Fairview, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Nice parks and green spaces
2. Lots of new development happening
3. Close to major attractions
4. The people are generally excellent - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Not very walkable outside downtown
2. Bugs and humidity in summer
3. The traffic situation is competitive and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- South: Great for singles. underrated vibes, walkable.
- Fairview: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from San Francisco, everything felt excellent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are reasonable. Gas is growing. You can live comfortably on $80K-$90K here.

**Final verdict:**
