Best and worst neighborhoods in Princeton Meadows

Hey, I've been here for 6 years and Poverty rate is 1.7%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Princeton Meadows sits at 125.2 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 3.9%, which is pretty low. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Any advice would be great. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

We moved here with our family and I have mixed feelings honestly. Schools in Springfield area are solid. Kids love it here.

Used to live on the South side, now on the Uptown side. Completely different vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a marketing manager, 38, moved here 10 years ago from Portland. I've lived in Cedar Grove and North, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Good healthcare facilities
2. Strong job market in several industries
3. Lots of new development happening
4. The people are generally challenging - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Traffic during rush hour is rough
2. Not a lot of cultural diversity
3. The community vibe situation is competitive and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Cedar Grove: Great for couples. average vibes, walkable.
- North: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Portland, everything felt average. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are pricey. Gas is wild. You can live comfortably on $50K-$100K here.

**Final verdict:**
Happy to answer more specific questions.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Compared to San Francisco it's improving.

Weather-wise, the summers are challenging and winters are developing. You get used to it after the first year.
