Alright, The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value weather, you'll love it. The dating scene is genuinely average and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. My neighborhood (Lakewood) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Raleigh, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

My experience has been mostly positive. I love the pace of life here. The only thing I'd watch out for is public transit. Other than that, Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I'm a accountant and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. The community is pretty good and there's always something going on.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I'm still on the fence after all this time. No regrets on my end..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are decent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Weather-wise, the summers are better than expected and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.

Hot take but I'm still on the fence after all this time. I know a lot of people disagree but after 6 years here, that's my honest assessment.
