Best apartments in Princeville under ?

Longtime lurker here, I grew up here but left for a while. Rent is about $1,017/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 4.8%, which is about average. Household incomes average around $49,583 in Princeville. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Am I wrong here? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value cultural scene, you'll love it. The walkability is genuinely improving and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (Oak Park) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Diego, be prepared for the culture shock. traffic is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Dallas about 7 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are affordable, gas is average.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want community vibe, then yeah this place is great. But if walkability matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
