Anyone else feel this way? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it was the best decision I ever made. Compared to LA it's improving.

I've lived in South for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Lots of new development happening
- The public transit scene is solid
The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Limited shopping options
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. Definitely worth checking out..

We moved here with our family and I love the pace of life here. Schools in South area are challenging. Kids love it here.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are better than expected, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want pet-friendliness, then yeah this place is great. But if job market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

My experience has been mostly positive. it exceeded my expectations. The only thing I'd watch out for is cost of living. Other than that, Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
