Remote worker thinking about Prior Lake

Been meaning to ask this. Average temperature is around 47--F, so expect cold winters. Rent is about $1,548/month for a decent place. Crime rate is something to consider -Prior Lake sits at 153.5 per 100K. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development. What are your go-to spots? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is traffic. it's exactly what I was looking for. Worth doing your research before committing.

Bought a house here in 2022 and I have mixed feelings honestly. Property values have gone up a bit since then.
