Rent in Providence getting crazy

Curious what people think. We're a young couple and Homes are going for about $478,300 on average. The unemployment rate is 1.6%, which is pretty low. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Does this match your experience? Appreciate any input. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 10 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the Meadowbrook side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
